My name is Kellie Dearman and I am a certified Yoga Instructor (200-hour course). I've been practicing yoga for 12 years and began teaching in 2005. Like many people, I took up yoga as a way to incorporate a form of exercise into my life that I would be able to keep at for the rest of my life. Besides keeping me limber and strong, my own practice is always deepening as I learn and incorporate more of this very personal spiritual practice into my own life. Yoga is helping me to develop a sense of inner peace that I can draw on when I need to. One small benefit is that I am definitely less-stressed and more able to deal calmly with things (well, most things!) as they arise.
I love teaching yoga and look forward to building a strong yoga community in Stirling. I also teach seniors yoga at the Belleville Recreation Centre on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and have offered lunchtime classes at the Trenton Base in the past.
Besides teaching yoga, my husband and I are the owners of Julia's Womens Wear, a ladies wear shop at 14 Mill Street in Stirling. We love offering service and a great quality product to our community.
I am also Past-President of the volunteer Executive for the Stirling Figure Skating Club.
